Dance Classes

PRE BALLET/TAP (Ages 18 months–5 years)

Our preschool program builds a strong dance foundation while nurturing creativity. Through ballet, tap, and creative movement, students develop locomotor skills, musicality, self-expression, and teamwork. Early lessons on classroom behavior and positive attitude set the stage for future success and confidence.

Age groups:

• Baby Ballerinas (18 months–3 years)
• Pre Ballet/Tap (3–5 years)

Girls’ attire: Pink leotard, ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, black velcro tap shoes; black EDC tutu optional.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt, black shorts, black ballet and tap shoes.

PRE TUMBLE (Ages 3–5)

Introductory acro dance focusing on flexibility, strength, balance, and coordination. Early lessons in teamwork and positive attitude support future growth.

Girls’ attire: Pink leotard with black shorts or leggings; no shoes.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt and black shorts; no shoes.

ACROBATICS

Combines classical dance with acrobatic and tumbling techniques for strength and precision.

Girls’ attire: Pink or black leotard, black shorts, convertible tights optional, hair secured.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt and black shorts.

BALLET/POINTE

Classical ballet training to build muscle memory, flexibility, and technique while preventing injury. Pre-Pointe requires at least one year of ballet training; Pointe is recommended after evaluation (minimum age 11½).

Girls’ attire: Pink or black leotard, pink convertible tights, ballet shoes, hair in a bun; black ballet skirt optional, no shorts.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt, black shorts, black ballet shoes.

CONTEMPORARY

This class blends ballet technique with modern dance to explore fluidity, expression, and creativity. Students learn to connect movement with emotion while developing strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Contemporary dance encourages improvisation and personal style, helping dancers find their unique voice.

Girls’ attire: Pink or black leotard, black shorts, tan tights, tan jazz shoes, hair secured.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt, black shorts, tan jazz shoes.

HIP HOP

A fun, energetic class teaching choreography and freestyle to age-appropriate, clean music. Builds coordination and musicality.

Attire: Clean tennis shoes, EDC top or t-shirt, black sweatpants or leggings (teacher’s guidance).

MUSICAL THEATER

Jazz and ballet-based dance with focus on storytelling, character portrayal, and performance using Broadway and TV musical themes.

Girls’ attire: Pink or black leotard, black shorts, tan tights, tan jazz shoes, hair secured.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt, black shorts, tan jazz shoes.

TECHNIQUE

Jazz-focused training emphasizing leaps, jumps, turns, strength, and alignment. This class does not perform in recital.

Girls’ attire: EDC or black fitted dancewear, tan jazz or lyrical shoes, tan convertible tights optional, hair secured.
Boys’ attire: White t-shirt, black shorts, tan or black jazz shoes.
